Throughout your MBA program, you have had various discussion questions and assignments related to career development. For example, in a couple of courses, you used StrengthsQuest to assess your own skills. In other courses, you studied branding and networking, and viewed LinkedIn to determine how MBA graduates are using their degrees. This week, you will expand upon career development by assessing your own future career paths.
Reflect on Chapter 11 in the course textbook and apply the chapter to your own life experiences by discussing your “area of destiny” (AOD). What are you really good at, what do you love to do? Consider the other topics covered in this chapter and discuss what insights you gained. Additionally, reflect on Chapter 12 from the course textbook. Discuss how you have used or could use the six action steps to further your career. Be sure to be specific in applying these concepts to your own career path.
