Until recently, Dubois was the owner of a successful electronics parts manufacturer based in Turin, Italy. Yet the combination of the Covid pandemic and increased competition from producers from Asia has put his company on the edge of bankruptcy.
Unable to secure finance from the bank and under pressure from creditors, DuBois realized that his only remaining option was to sell his beloved collection of sports cars.
A modest collection of 12 exotic cars he had spent years bringing together and carefully restoring, DuBois doted over his Ferraris and Maseratis.
Calling Packet was a painful prospect, but selling the entire collection together would be quick and would mean an instant cash injection allowing him to hopefully save his business.
Packet wanted the cars. And DuBois knew that by selling to Packet, the cars would be going to a good home. Packet drooled over the cars when he visited the Dubois garage in the picturesque village of Mozzio in Northern Italy.
The packet would be a careful owner. He had a large climate-controlled garage in Mandurah, and the weather and roads in Western Australia would be generally pretty kind to old cars.
